Yes. Choose Black & white halftone dots, Color halftone dots, or Custom color halftone dots under Poster style. Adjust the spacing in millimeters and the minimum and maximum dot sizes. The preview and PDF use the same pattern across the whole poster, including overlapping sheet edges. PaperMan has its own rendering, so the result will not be identical to Rasterbator.
Start with 5 mm and preview an individual sheet. Smaller spacing gives more dots and finer detail; larger spacing gives a coarser pattern that is easier to see from across a room. Spacing is measured on the finished poster. For very large posters, increase spacing if the tool asks you to reduce the number of dots.
Under Adjust dot size range, keep the minimum at 0% and set the maximum to 70%. At 100%, the largest dots overlap to fill dark areas. Raising the minimum adds dots even in the lightest areas.
Yes. Enter a width of 60 cm. Height follows the image proportions automatically. To set both dimensions independently, enable Crop to a custom shape under More print settings, then enter 60 × 90 cm. PaperMan calculates the sheets needed and marks the finished edges. Trim unused paper on the last row and column, and print at 100% to preserve the dimensions.
No. Enlarging an image does not add detail. Check the effective DPI in the preview. Use a larger source image or reduce the poster size if you need more detail at close viewing distances.
Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 40 MB and 40 megapixels. Match the selected paper size to your printer, print at Actual Size / 100%, and test one page before printing the whole poster.
