A2 provides four times the area of A4 for technical drawings, classroom displays, and projects that need a large metric grid. Each equilateral triangle has 5mm sides and a perpendicular height of approximately 4.3 mm.
The point-up option starts the diagonal line pattern in the phase that places an upward-pointing triangle at the upper grid edge. The centered grid area is approximately 400 x 571.6 mm, with 80 x 132 side-width and row-height intervals forming about 21,120 complete or edge-clipped triangular cells.
A 5mm triangle grid creates a dense field for detailed tessellations, compact geometry, bead patterns, quilting plans, and fine technical sketches.

Use the PDF when the physical triangle dimensions matter. The side length and 60-degree geometry are preserved when the printer uses the correct paper and scale settings.
Load 420 x 594 mm paper and select A2 in the print dialog. A large-format printer may be required.
Select Actual Size or 100% scale. Turn off Fit, Shrink, and Scale to Page options.
Keep the print dialog set to portrait so the grid is not rotated or reduced automatically.
Use a ruler to confirm that one horizontal triangle side measures 5mm.
