Template details
A4 is the international standard for everyday home, school, and office printing and is the most compatible metric paper choice. Each square on this template measures 1/2 inch, equal to 12.7mm, so the grid contains 2 squares per inch.
With the template's 10mm margins, the usable grid area is 190 x 277 mm. It contains approximately 14 x 21 complete 1/2 inch squares in portrait orientation.
Half-inch spacing gives handwriting, labels, early math, planning marks, and simple drawings more room than a standard graph-paper grid.
A4 fits standard binders and classroom printers while leaving enough room for calculations, plots, and geometry exercises.
Use the regular grid to align measurements, diagrams, tables, and engineering notes on a familiar metric sheet.
A4 is widely supported outside North America and is a practical default when the finished sheet needs to be filed or copied.
Both formats preserve the same 1/2 inch grid measurement. Choose A4 for international home, school, and office printing; choose US Letter when us home, school, and office printing is a better match for the printer or project.
